Waterfall of Bantimurung is natural attractions are well known and much visited by tourists, is in South Sulawesi. The waterfall Bantimurung has a width of 20 meters and a height of 15 meters. The water is clear and cool throughout the year and at the bottom there is a waterfall stream baths of hard limestone foundation that is covered by a layer of mineral due to the flow of water for hundreds of years. The bathing water depth between the ankle to waist or around 1 meter. There is also a 10 meter high waterfall which is the road leading to the caves that surround the waterfall, the Batu Caves and Cave of Dreams.
Besides having an amazing waterfall, a tourist area is also a habitat for many species of rare butterflies, so the Dutch colonial government had dubbed this place as the Kingdom of Butterfly. In fact the British naturalist, Alfred Rassel Wallase, have lived in this area for a year (1856-1857) to examine 150 species of butterflies that are rare. Until now, visitors can still see the beauty of butterfly colorful with lots of species that fly around.
Sightseeing Bantimurung Waterfall is located about 20 kilometres from the airport Hasanuddin, or 15 kilometres from the town of Maros, and 50 kilometres from the city of Makassar. These attractions can be reached by road from the city of Makassar about 1 hour.
